Eragon Cake

When my nephew said he loved Dragons and his favorite book was Eragon, I knew I was going to be in for a challenge! I copied the basic idea of the book cover, only instead of a two dimensional picture of the Dragon, I decided it would be much more exciting if he was bursting right through the book! I was happy with the result and my nephew's excitement over this cake will warm my heart forever!! Devils Food cake with Cookies n Cream filling.

Happy Housewarming!!

Thought I'd try something completely different for this one. I did a Devils Food cake with Gan ache filling. I wrapped the cake with fudge pirouette cookies which gave it a warm, rustic feeling. Each layer was topped with some beautiful fall flowers which matched the flowers at the housewarming party.

40 and FABULOUS!!

This cake was DECADENT!! Everything was chocolate. Chocolate cake with ganache filling covered with milk chocolate and white chocolate. It weighed almost 50 pounds!!

I was so excited to create this cake. It turned out exactly as I had envisioned.

1st Birthday

I had short notice for this cake and was given free reign for design and color. Sometimes, lack of restrictions make it more challenging. I did the cupcake on top for the birthday boy to use as his "smash" cake. It was a fun one.

Elmo Surprise - Birthday Cake

I Challenged myself on this one. I sculpted Elmo out of rice crispie treats. I was very happy that it was successful!!

Cradling Moon - Baby Shower Cake

I sculpted the moon, the baby and the bear. The details do not show up on the photo, but it was really cute.

Superbowl Party

This one was a challenge because I had no theme or direction from the client. I knew the birthday girl liked the color red and I used that as my starting point... this was the finished piece.
